Found My Answer Concerning A/C Size

I searched through all messages concerning A/C size for 16' x 80' home. I found answer in 2004 reply.
A/C serviceman said metal roof and no trees will not let my home cool down to 75 degrees. Is this true? What kind of replacement roof would you recommend that is energy efficient, low maintenance and economical?
