dry rot

I have extensive dry rot at the marriage lines of my 18 year old triple-wide, discovered when I went to replace the roofing. Structural engineer says that the whole top of the house has to come off and new engineered trusses made and installed. Any experience with this? Any advice?

YES!!! Some of the bolts (holding?) the sections together are suspended in powder. So far as I can tell, it has not extended down to the sides. It is not at the advanced stage of extending from top to bottom of the marriage beams. The engineer checked the foundation and piers and says that it can be done, but my question ios; is it worth it?

WOW Man good luck with that. I guess if its worth it too you then go for it. However I would concider what the home will be worth when it is done.
