I have a 2001 Skyline. My lights have started flickering, going off for a fraction of a second every few seconds. This is intermittent. Tonight while using the microwave (and not much else) it's lights started to go dim, then came back on. The mobile home park I am in had the outside stuff tested which was OK. The electrician recommended I have the neutral bus checked.

Since it's Friday, can this wait until Monday or might it be a fire hazard? Do electricians usually charge extra for weekend work? How much is it likely to be to just check the neutral bus?

If your problem is all the lights in the home then its not just one faulty breaker or nuetral wire for that breaker. Your problem could be as simple as a loose connection on the main panel. But simply looking while the breaker box cover is off wont work. You will need someone qualified to test connections. They should be able to test the entire breaker box and connections within 15 minutes or less. Im sure most electricians do charge for after hours or weekend rates but every now and then you might run into a company that counts Saturday as a normal work day.
