My furnace is located in a closet and is very loud. I know you can not install regular residential furnaces in mobile homes. Can you install a residential packaged furnace/AC out side and remove the furnace thats inside and turn it into a closet? Or will this package unit have to be a mobile home unit? Thanks for any answers!

You should be able to go to a package heat pump. That's is what I went with and will NEVER own another home with the blower inside (I have no plans on moving anyway, but you get my point).
You will never miss hearing it run and I think the small hit on efficiency due to the extra ductwork is well worth it.

Duct work for heat pumps is usually in the ceilings instead of the floor for efficienty reasons. Most MHs has the duct work in the floors unless it was ordered with a heat pump.Secondly heat pumps are not recomended for areas with harsh winters. However if you live where it rarely freezes heat pumps are the way to go,quiet and cost efficent.

Hey thanks alot,, Im planning on putting in a duel fuel package unit. There will be a outside temp sensor that automaticaly switches from heatpump to gas furnace at a certain temp that i set it for. Probably will set it to switch to gas at 35-40 degrees. Above 40 and it will run the heatpump, the a/c and heatpump will be 16 seer .I just didnt know if it had to be a mobile home unit. THANKS
