anchors on double wide

Our 1987 Homes of Merit did pretty well during the three hurricanes we had here in Central Florida. We are concerned about having the tie downs/anchors checked by a reliable, competent company at a cost that won't break our bank!

Any ideas will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Ironically I'm supposively on vacation in southern Florida right now. I'm staying with relatives in a mobilehome/rv park and have spent some time tightening and redoing anchors that were installed poorly by locals. So I understand your concern.

Basically take a look underneath your home at the anchors. If the straps look tight, you may be OK. If they look loose, then for sure you need to have them tightened or checked.

Thanks, Mark.....but there's NO WAY that I (age 71) am going to go under my house.

I will have to have someone do it.
