Having never lived in south Florida or a manufactured home, I'm not sure whats going on. There seems to be no end to cleaning up what I call a black soot on everything in the area where I live (Coconut Creek). It really shows up on the ceiling fans and Pergo floors. Some neighbors say its the incenerator and some say its the FPL plant. If its one or the other, I'm shocked people aren't complaining more. I moved he here from the Detroit area and the air is much better there than here. Go figure!

Sounds like you live downwind from a coal fired electrical generating plant.
All you can do is complain to the plant, your local reps and the EPA.
