I'm trying to do a little redecorating to brighten up my MH. All the wood is dark.
Both bathrooms have dark wood frame around the mirrors. Cabinets are dark too with flower etching design in center of all cabinets. I can't afford to replace wall mirrors or cabinets right now so I'd like to know if I can paint the wood.
I have no experience in doing anything like this. Is this a job I can manage or am I am out of my league?
I would appreciate all advice and helpful hints. But keep it simple
Thank You

Yes you can, the steps are clean, prime, then paint to the color of your choice. Tom

Thanks so much for your expertise but can you be a little more specific.
What do I clean wood cabinets with?
What kind of primer?
Is there a specific kind of paint I should buy?

Any good household cleaner that is a degreaser. Kilz or Zinsser primers are fine. Paint is any that you desire. Tom

Don't forget that a lot of the interior trim and fixtures inside a MH are the same or comparable to what is found in site-built homes. It sounds like a good general home repair/improvement book would be helpful to you; much of the material can be applied to MH repairs and maintenance.
