Foundations - Is this possible

We have a single wide trailer that is currently on piers. Is there any way to put in a foundation, in the current location, without moving the trailer? We looked at buying a double-wide and the property taxes scared us away (nearly $5000/year!). So, we are thinking of staying in the single-wide and fixing it up. Am I dreaming or can this be done?

Jack it up and build the foundation and then lower it back down on the new foundation. In my area of the country you'd havre to live in about a 750,000 dollar house to pay 5000 a year in property taxes.Where are you that the state or county wants that much?

If your piers are under each block-set and extend down past the frostline, your home is already technically on a foundation. But if you want skirting that looks like a foundation, then that's a different thought.

You gotta see my repair manual!

Believe it or not, small town western NY state. The taxes here are ridiculous! We are at about $38 per $1,000.

You can get a jack foundation system for your house that is FHA approved as a permanent foundation. Can't remember the name of 'em and I can't stand their website......... because they demand so much info without allowing you to ask any questions before you volunteer yourself for inopportune phone calls. They make you feel like you're being set up for MCI phone calls at dinner time. LOL!
With businesses now advertising on the web, many tend to call when it's convenient for them, and easily forget that you're the customer and it's your convenience that should be addressed.
On the other hand, they seem to be reasonably priced and take only a day or so to install. I dunno....maybe it's just a case of having to take the good wi'da bad. I'd try a new post asking the question: Permanent Jack Foundations.....and someone will see it and respond.
Good Luck!
