Re: plastic tubs & showers
The soap scum can be removed with most of the cleaners you buy in the store for bathrooms/showers. If the stains are hard water or reddish, you can try something like LimeAway. I have to be honest though, some of these stains get embedded into the plastic and will not come out no matter what you use. Here is a product that claims to get rid of them all. http://www.hawaiiclean.com/stain.html Tom

I can tell you what you shouldn't use..
DO NOT use steel wool or other abrasives.
DO NOT use any of the following on sinks or tubs: Lestoil, Windex, Mr. Clean,
Dow Disinfectant Bathroom Cleaner, Lysol Disinfectant (spray or concentrate) or
Lysol Basin, Tub and Tile Cleaner, as well as any variation or 'off brand' of
these products

Actually I have used just about all those on plastic tubs with good results and no damage.SOS pads used in moderation seem to work the best.No damage just clean tubs in my case.
Re: plastic tubs & showers
Comet Bathroom Cleaner. It comes in a spray bottle. It works wonderful. Just spray it on, leave it a bit and it will come off. If you have a build up of soap scum, you may have to repeat. Scotch Brite has a sponge cleaner, with a handle, that might help also. Please rinse the Cleaner off completely, as it will make your shower/tub slick.
