Does the kitchen sink have to be fastened down ? The repair crew put a new sink in the kitchen . And all they did was put some putty tape under it and and hook ed up the lines for water and sewer . Also when they went under the home they found that the floor was not nailed to the 2x6 floor joyce every place. I am talking about a lot of missed nails and when they pulled the floor covering back you could see that they did not come back and get the ones they missed. Now they are saying it is ok because it is glued. so the floor is secure . But I dont agree I paid for a home that they told me would be nailed and glued. Can some one tell me if this is true ? .And how close the nails should be.? They keep talking about DAPIA and I have asked for a copy of this . But they wont give me one. Can I get one on the net or buy one? Also what can I do about the repair people they sent out that have messed my home up . Is it ok for the repair people to leave the comode off and not plug the sewer line for days at a time . It was venting odors into the house. Also they cut the belly board open from one end to end on both sides and left the whole thing open for weeks. And when they worked in the home they marked the walls up and filled the home with dust and dirt . Now they are gone leaving all the cleaning for us . We also have to clean the garbage up outside That they left .And put the rest of the skirting back on . They also had me buy a new hot water heater , They said mine was bad . But it was fine ,It was a water line leaking. So I paid for a water heater I did not need . This is just some of the things We had many more problems. Is this normal ? What do I need to do ? Is it ok for the repair people to break things in your home and mess your stuff up and not fix clean or replace it. The manufacture r said the workers are insured and bonded , But refuse to give us any information. The plant hired the workers and some of them were plant inspectors working on our home. I would be greatful for any information or help THANKS One more thing we called a cleanning company and they wanted 2300.00 dollars to clean up the mess on the inside . Not including the outside

It's people like those who worked on your home who give this industry a bad rep -- although bad repair people are in all segments of the housing and construction industry.

I have been in the manufactured home repair business for a lot of years -- and have yet to find one reason why the belly needs to be opened from one end to another. $20 says they didn't seal it back up right either. Opening a belly wide open is a huge pet peeve of mine because there's never a reason to do it. I run waterlines from front to back with only a few small slits in the belly.

Not much really holds down bathroom sinks. Most kitchen and utility sinks have clips. Normally I use an adhesive caulk to secure down bathroom sinks, so putty tape may be fine if it's applied properly.

If they say they are insured and bonded, I'd get estimates on everything that needs to be fixed or refixed, cleaned and whatever and turn it over to an attorney. He/she'll will know what to do.
