I own a 2001 Clayton 16x80 and want to remove the hardboard around the hall bath tub and take the carpet off the floor. I intend to replace the hard board wall with cement backer board and ceramic wall tile to the ceiling and 1/4 inch cement backer board with ceramic tile on the floor. What I am not sure of in removing the commode is it the same as with a standard house plumbing using wax ring to seal and is this the same ring I can purchase at any hardware store? Also what type or style of water lines and fittings are used on this style mobile home

Toilet wax rings are all the same. You either get the one with the wax ring and rubber gasket or just the doughnet wax ring.Eiher way there all the same size.If you have a water cut off at the supply line to the toilet you more then likely have a standard feed line to the toilet. If not you may have to cut it ,and put on a new fitting and supply line. This is done using a compresion tool which compresses a copper band to seal the new fittings. You can rent this tool at Home Depot or Lowes.Any fittings you need are there also.I'm sure the people working in thatsection of the store can help you out if you are unsure of what you will need.
