Making porch floor waterproof

I have a modular home setting over a crawl space. The home has a recessed front porch which is susceptible to standing water because of wind blown snow and rain. The floor of this "porch" is supported by the house floor joists, so must not be allowed to become wet.
The house manufacturer (Magnolia) did a good job of flashing and protecting this area with roofing felt (I think) and rubber backed carpet. It has remained mostly water tight for 15 years but this past winter moisture got through tears in the carpet and behind the siding on the wall below the porch. I have replaced the hardboard siding but must now replace and make waterproof this plywood porch floor.
I can replicate the previous installation, but was wondering about "improved" methods and materials, like a rubberized flooring.
Have you had any experience with Liquid Rubber EPDM (Ethylene propylene dieneterpolymer)? I see it advertised on the web and it sounds promising.
I would appreciate any comments.
thanks, Jim
