HardiPlank siding

My Skyline has HardiPlank vertical siding. Can I attach plant hooks, etc. using a drill & screws as you would with wood? Any sealant over it? Nails OK?

Look for caulked and painted nails in the siding. You will find studs behind them for even more support. I see no reason you cant add a couple of hooks here and there with no problem

You will need a diamond tiped drill bit...that stuff is tough..

i have a beach house on the water and i am in the process of installing hardy plank
and i was woundering cause of the high winds, could i use ring shank nails
