Sunroom ceiling panels

Post by Joe » Thu Sep 18, 2003 10:42 am

I have an enclosed sunroom on the end of my deck. It shares the same awning as my deck. It has a false ceiling installed. My problem is that the ceiling tiles only last about 6 months before they warp and fall down. It looks like there might be some condensation or heat problems. The roof doesnt seem to leak. I talked to a neighbor and he said to foam the top of the awning roof. Will that help? Thanks. Joe

You have to establish what the actual problem really is. If the panels appear to be moisture damaged then quite possibly you need to add vents to the roof or possibly a moisture barrier under the insulation. If you have a metal roof, condensation can occur rather easily with temp changes. Tom
