Wood burning vs gas fireplace

I purchased a new manufactured home this year with a wood burning fireplace that can be converted to a gas fireplace. I welcome any input regarding cost of conversion, cost of operating with gas, etc.

Thanks,

Linda

The expense would be running a gas line from your main to the stove. It would not be overly expensive. I would however check with your insurance company first. There may be some adjustment in your policy needed. I would also check in your stoves owners manual, it may have some tips. One other point, Im assuming that your stove has the connections necessary for the conversion, some do some do not. Tom
