				hello all,
Has anyone had experience with replacing the crank windows in an older (1970) mobile home? Is this something a regular window place would be able to do or do I need a gneral contractor?
Thanks!

The windows in the older homes were generally a "mutt" size - that is not a common size. It is possible to replace them - just measure carefully (you don't need to remove the window for this), and order windows of the correct size from a place like Menards, Home Depot, Lowe's.... Any GOOD window or general should be able to handle the job. Remember - proper measurements are KEY in the operation. FOLLOW THE WINDOW MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS TO AVOID WARRANTY ISSUES.

Try a mobile home parts supplier for replacement windows. They may have the right size and a better price.
