Where to find regulations?

Hello.
I'm in the process of buying a mobile home, and I know that I'll soon be wanting to add on to it--adding porches and even additional rooms and maybe a basement. I've seen references to HUD regulations that I'll have to follow when doing this to avoid expensive updates whenever I eventually sell the place. I've looked around a bit, and while I've found local regulations, I haven't found any HUD specifications yet. Can you tell me where to look?
