Being from a park, moving to land

I am interested in purchasing a mod. home but I was thinking, buying a relatively new one from someone selling in a modular home park would be cheaper and then transferring property to land and installing foundation and/basement for onsite built appeal. Can someone buy a home from a modular home park and move it, not having to worry about the park cost they charge. Or do they restrict you from buying and moving it?

Most parks won't mind if you purchase a home and then move it.You'll have to make sure that the current owner is current with their lot rent payments.If not you'll have to get them current with the purchase/move.

Something else to look at is the "repo market." With major lenders feeling the pinch of their previous poor credit decisions, you may be able to find a great deal on a repo home. Keep in mind that repo homes aren't always in the greatest of shape. But you can occasionally find yourself a heck of a deal. Just make sure you have your financing all set up, because good repos don't last long, and most lenders won't provide financing on a repo'd home.

We found a repo and financed it with no problem. Of course we did have our own land to put it on. Repo's can be found and they do go fast.
