Our washing machine puts out such a small trickle of cold water itt can take FOREVER to fill up for a load. It's only slightly better with warm.
The w/d are in the area that the water enters the house (one of the shutoff valves is right next ot the hoses in fact. Water pressure throughout the house is perfect except for this one spot. Sometimes I tihnk it's gotten worse over the last few months.Anyone know what i should look for? I played ith the valves and made sure there was no kinks in the viewable tubing....

Often the inlet hoses have a screen on them - turn the water off, unscrew the hose, and look inside. You'll likely see a conical screen, which can be removed and cleaned.

If you have Pex plumbing, the likely source of your poor pressure is a kinked line. In a many homes we find that the supply to sinks and W/D is kinked right where it turns from the wall to go through the floor and join up with the rest of the plumbing. Unfortunately, the only way to fix this is to put in a 90 degree coupler. Which requires special "crimp" tools. Some plumbers have them. Any decent "mobile home service tech" has them. Home Depot carries a version of the Pex system in most of their stores, so they may be able to help you find a contractor/plumber who has access to the right tools. If you only have the one issue, its not cost effective for you to purchase the tool yourself, as they run nearly $200.00 new. Of course if your home is under warranty still, you're in luck, get the factory tech out there and tell him to fix it!

If you have CPVC plumbing, the possible culprit is a lot of excess glue in the line. Only way to fix that is to cut out the blockage and piece in a new section. This doesn't really require specialized tools, just something to cut the pipe with. And a general understanding of how to glue things together!

Another possibilty is like what Mac said, debris in the line thats been caught in the airator. Make sure thats cleaned out before you go pulling apart the plumbing system. And make sure you shut the water off to the house before you undo any lines, even if you think its past a shut off, better safe than wet!

Have you tried to unhook the washing machine and then hooked up a garden hose to the spigots, or also known as the hot and cold faucets? Try this first.
If the water comes out of the garden hose just fine then the problem will be with your washing machine. Just thought I'd give you something else to try. All the other info people have given you has been right on the money. Good luck.

Thanks all, hubby finally got some time to get to this project and the filter where the water enters the back of the machine was clogged..works great now!
