Post and little wall - are these load bearing

Post by Mandthepand » Tue Jun 01, 2021 8:17 am

Hi! I'm new here! In the process of buying a Palm Harbor home (2003) and planning on a kitchen renovation. Currently there are some cupboards (high and low) that separate the living room from the kitchen. At the end of the cupboards is a post. I'm assuming that the post is merely there to support the cupboards. How can I tell if it's load bearing? There is also a little partition wall that is perpendicular to the outside wall. Both photos show said walls. I'll have contacted the manufacturer but just wondering what people's thoughts are. Thanks in advance
