The most substantial skirting system around is System-1 skirting by Hoffman Concrete. System-1 is what skirting should be- 100% solid concrete. System-1 is not an imitation or a look alike – it is the original concrete skirting system that resists the elements from the summer heat of Texas to the harsh winters of Minnesota. System-1 is built to last and is designed to stay put for years of dependable service.

The above mentioned skirting certainly looks substantial and long lasting. There are however other products such and vinyl, aluminum, and other materials that would be less expensive (less substantial).

Questions to ask are, what kind of budget do you have? how long will you be living in the home? what kind of look do you want? does your home need perimeter support?

Do an internet search for mobile home contractors in your city and have them come out and give opinions based on the answers to the previous questions. As always check out their contractors licenses and referrals. If you can, go look at one of their skirting jobs. The time taken will pay off in the long run.

Also if you live in a park make sure they will allow whatever it is you decide on and get it in writing. I was looking into the System I skirting myself as I like how it looks and is certainly substantial but for the reason why my park nixed it. So I'll stick with my white vinyl which looks great as long as I keep the weed eater off of it as it will cut right threw it. Good luck. Jen
