Post by gvpoirier » Sat Sep 30, 2006 7:01 am

i have a 1998 mobile home with a shingled roof that needs repair or replaced, is that a job that can be done by myself, or do roofing company's do roofing repairs on mobile homes, would you know a rough est. on what i should pay to have a roof reshingled, the home is 14' x 60' with a slight pitch, are special products needed for a mobile home roof, or can the shingles come from a home improvment store, i need to do something soon as roof leaks in one section, looks like previous owner patched roof with new shingles in the section that is still leaking, and it looks like he did it himself, not a real good patch up job, thank you gvpoirier

Call any roofing contractor that you know... replacing the shingle on your manufactured home is exactly the same as replacing shingles on any structure

Many roofing contractors actually like to do mobile homes, because they are square and not very steep. However, the sheething can be thin and some usually needs to be replaced, so that adds cost and slows down the shingling process.
