Speaking of skylights...

Has anyone ever removed one, as was suggested to a previous poster? My pre-owned home came with a skylight in one bathroom. When it rains at night, the noise is so loud that I have to close the bathroom door, or I can't sleep. If it rains during the day, the noise scares my cats. I wouldn't mind getting rid of the darn thing!

Consult a contractor as I did its not a very big job. I was quoted $100.00 to do it. All it amounts to is tearing it out and putting roof over it. However you will loose a bit of light in the room so you may want to upgrade your lighting. Hope this helps! Lewis C
