Resurfacing Concrete Drive

Post by Jane » Mon Apr 25, 2005 11:41 am

I am buying a lot that has an exisitng concrete drive. Tearing it out and replacing it would be too expensive. Is there some surface treatment other than painting that could be used to make it look better?

What's wrong with it now?

The drive is about 30 years with some cracks and an old paint job that is wearing off. Just looks bad

I'd suggest getting it pressure washed to remove the old paint (who paints a driveway?). Use a crack filler to fill the cracks. If it still looks bad, use a product made for concrete, such as DryLock, just remember paint isn't made to be driven over, and it will look bad again in a few years, if it even takes that long. Or, use a product made for surfacing garage floors.
