Hi! In a mobile home, how do you fix a hole in the wall, what materials should you use?

Hi, Im assuming you have the standard thin wallboard. It depends on how big the hole is. Too large of a hole is not practicle to fix. If its managable, you can use the same method used in patching drywall. It does take some skill to make it look like it never happened however. Tom

Depending on the size of the hole, plus what material the wall is made of, you can repair the hole. If drywall, you repair by cutting a piece of the same material to fit the hole (sometimes you have to trim a bit for it to fit), insert the new piece in the hole, tape over it with drywall tape, and mud it in. After drying, you can sand it smooth and paint it. If it is wallboard, or something similar, get a new piece from the interior of one of your closets (a place no one will ever notice), shape it to fit, then apply some clear(!) duct tape along the edges to overlap onto the area around the hole, and slide it into place. The clear duct tape will be practically invisible!
