A window was taken out of this mobile and replaced with tile on the interior
for a new bathroom look (looks good). On the exterior the contractor used a vinyl piece of siding replacing the space where the window was located.
Because the mobile home has metal siding (vertical ) there is a
mismatch between the existing siding and the new vinyl repair.
From what I understand the mobile home was built in the 1970's.
I would like to replace the complete (4X8 ) section in this area to make
the exterior seemless with the existing siding.
Is this the way to go? What would be the cost of this siding?
Thanks
John

Re: Exterior Siding Repair
The only problem is finding the exact match of that style. And even if you do find the match, the siding on a 70's home is bleached out. A lot of local building centers do carry metal siding, and if your not worried about "close", its a pretty simple repair. Just make sure you tuck the top behind the metal trim under the eve to keep the water from entering, and overlap the sides.
