I have a single 14 x 70 and our park requires that we install wood under the skirting (vinyl). I need some tips on how to accomplish this (easily). Do I need to remove the trim above the skirting? What type and width of wood do I use?
Any help is appreciated.

Re: wood under skirting
Paul,
1) Remove the skirting you have on the home.
2) A level works best, but starting on each corner of the home, lay something flat against the home and slide it to the ground. This will mark the corners so your skirting can be reinstalled straight again.
3) After marking all four corners, use a string line as a guide so your skirting will now flow in a straight line instead of bowing in and out as you travel down the home with your skirting.
4) Install treated lumber. Most homes use landscaping timbers. Your call on what size you want to use. Drill holes in the ends and every few feet and drive rebar to secure them to the ground.
5) You should now have a straight base for your skirting track to be anchored to. Simply cut off the extra skirting and discard. This is also a great time to get rid of all those skirting panels that have holes left from the "good old weed wacker!"
* I like to use a pencil and mumber the skirting panels on the back side as I remove them so they don't get mixed up when I go to reinstall them. Good tip especially if your ground is uneven..
