Rodent Barrier

Post by Chris » Wed Feb 11, 2004 10:01 pm

I just saw the term Rodent barrier in another post. What is it and how do I get one or is it possible that we already have one in our 2003 Fleetwood Entertainer DW. The reason I asked is we had a mouse in the house and it craped everywhere before we caught it, so far the trap hasnt caught anymore nor have we seen droppings. I am used to mice, in other houses I lived but then they were always in the basement, but i don't have one of those anymore.!!!

Chris,
It was probably me that used the term "Rodent Barrier". They have many names for it like underbelly, belly wrap, and probably a whole lot more that Im sure others will share.

Depending on your home it may or may not have this material installed. No all manufactured homes do, especially if the home is UBC code going on a full basement.

Simply check under the home below the floor joists and see if you have a protective covering installed.
If you do, and you have mice, simply check to see there are no cuts/holes for critters to access..

Remember---It doesnt take much of a hole for a mouse. You might think of other means to stop them from entering the house.

Hope this helps clear up the confusion. Its just a term used in the Manufactured Housing community, but with meaning.
