additions???

I was wondering if it was possible or feasable to "add-on" to a manufactured home, such as an extra room or to enlarge an existing room. I am considering purchasing a MH in my area, but most, if not all, the listings in my area are for homes that are 1600 sf or smaller.

Need more details on how this home is currently setting now. How are the exterior walls blocked, and how thick are your exterior walls?

Making a room larger is usually not a big problem Unless your moving your marriage wall (double or triple wide) they are usually non load bearing. The only thing you have to contend with is what to do with the spot in the floor and ceiling once moved.
**Take note prior if you have electrical wires and how you will be dealing with that issue.
