Tile Floors

I am wondering how successful tile floors work in man homes. I would like to put tile(ceramic) down in my kitchen but am concerned how it will work with the raised floors.

If your home is on a solid foundation(concrete footers under the piers) and you use a backer board(Utility crete,Wonderboard or Durarock)under the tile you should have no problems.This also assumes the tile is installed correctly.Almost ALL of
problems with tiles cracking later are due to bad installations.
