concrete skirting

Has anyone used the product Stonecote to skirt their home? How is it holding up?
Is their any other product besides using the old fashioned brick and morter? I'de like to something that is going to hold up, unlike vinyl that gets holes and comes off each hard wind that comes along.

Split-face cinder block and mortar looks fine, holds up fine, and isn't too expensive. We went that route. Some people use Hardi-Plank or panel as well (fibercement) but even though it's cement-based, it has wood fibers and isn't recommended for ground contact.
