Hi,
I have been having a heck of a time trying to get someone out to my property
to provide me with a site prep bid. I am in southern california, have the
home, have the land, have the financing needed but can not find someone
dependable to come out and provide me with a bid on the site prep. Does
anyone have recommendations on what I should do? Where is the best place to
find contractors that specialize in manufactured home site prep? Thanks, Brian

Also, if you're purchasing (or have already purchased) your home (new or used) from a dealer, that dealer should be happy to give you recommendations.
I would also suggest you speak to the managers/owners of MH parks in the vicinity of your property. Most have local contractors they call on for site prep in their parks when a new MH goes in. You'd probably have better luck with them than talking to MH sales centers, but then you might try one or two of them as well.
Given the S. Cal building boom right now, the issue may not only be who, but when. Many contractors are booked up for many months, even years.
Good luck.

Site Prepis the most important issue you need to take care of PRIOR to putting the home on site.
The easiest way to grade the site is:
First the hightest elevation of the site should be in the center onf the home. Then on the outside of the home current building codes say to grade the site 10 feet from the home droping down 6 inche on that distance, this will shed water from the site.
I do not recomend the previous mentioned persons video. He says you should learn in approx. 2 hours the proper way to grade a site. Acutally you will need 10 hours to watch it.
