I have just recently purchased an older model mobile home and I am getting ready to fix it up. My question is how can I find out the real year it was made in. I was told it is a 1970 model. I was also told by the local mobile home dealers that a 14'x60' mobile home was not made in 1970, but rather in 1976. The person before me started to remodel it, so if there was any type of paper or sticker with the right year on it, its gone now. It is Skylark single wide mobile home. It is a two bed and one bath model. Every time i go online and type in Skylark mobile homes it brings up Buik skylark (which is a car). My title says 1970 on it, but like I said before the mobile home dealers told me that a 14' wide trailor wasn't made in 1970. If you have any suggestions or can help in any way please e-mail back. Any info would help. Thank you, Coreen

Sounds like your dealer advisors are wrong...The title would be the controling document..Most likely it is correct...

If it is a 1970, it is probably a 12 x 60.
1970 would be before legal movement of 14 wides was allowed.
