Refinancing

Post by Connie Butler » Sun Oct 17, 2004 10:56 pm

I have been trying for almost two yrs to find someone to refinance my mobile home. They either say they have to be on a foundation or on land that I own, all kinds of little rejection items. If these things are to continue to me they are reasons NOT to buy a mobile home. I lost $17000. a yr income and need to refinance but just try and find someone who will do it. I live in a mobile home park and my home isnt ona foundation nor land that I own, but if I could get the interest lowered would help alot. If anyone knows of someone who can help let me know please.

There are many companies that finance used homes...but lower interest is probabnly not possible...used home only finance...especially single sections...have very high rates right now...

Interest rates are determined by the length of the loan,,,your equity,,,and your credit scores...

Try the lending section of this web site..Many are helped there..

Hi Ron

You seem to have given my email in error as I own this domain

Here is a copy of the message I received:

Hello Ron,

I've seen your message at the Manufacturing Houses forum at http://mfdhousing.com/discus/read.php?f=7&i=823&t=814.
We are currently looking for a company to re-finance our manufactured home (singlewide, 1993, located on a rented lot). Our current lender is GreenTree, and our current interest rate is very high, 18%. The loan balance is 27,983. My credit score is 706 in Experian, 667 in Equifax, and I don't know in TransUnion. My husband's score is 596 in Experian, and I don't know his scores in Equifax and TransUnion.

Do you re-finance mobile homes located in Colorado? If so, what is the middle score you require to re-finance a mobile home? Is your loan assumable? What paperwork do we need to prepare for re-financing?

Best Regards,

Hi
Well I live in a double wide (26X80) in a park in MI. It is now costing me a little
over $800/mo to live here and I am a single, 57 year old woman.
My problem is that I have a 6 year old Bankruptcy and can only qualify
for financing of 75% to move this to land and I dont have the large amount of cash
to make up the other $25%. Currently my credit score is low 588 and very
difficult to make it better when I am a slave to this house and the large payments.
Even refinancing is not possible. I really hate to walk away and have been trying
for years to sell it but at my age I am being forced to make a decision as much
of my future $$$$$ is being thrown away here.
Anyone with any knowledge of how I can proceed to a favorable conclusion?
Thank you for listening :)

A mess in MI
