HELP ME

Post by Brian Coneal » Fri Apr 02, 2004 4:12 pm

I have a mobile home that has been completely rebuilt. I am trying to get refinanced but the company needs to know the make and model. The only thing original on the house is the floor. It has been passed throughout my family since 1985. No one remembers where it was purchased or exactly when it was purchased. It has been moved several times. I live in North Carolina. I have checked with DMV and the register of deeds in my county and I have had zero luck. The only thing I have is a fourteen digit number(numbers and letters). There is a dash in between the ninth and tenth characters. If this is the serial number , can I use it to help me get the rest of the information.

I am in the same situation. I am trying to get a dblwide insured and the data plate is missing as well as the manufacturers name that is usually on the outside. I was told that the cabinets were replaced but looking at them the are the originals. the underside is the same as the kitchen gypsum board. I only have the 2 hud plates with a serial number on the outside of the home. I am trying to trace it without success. If you have any ideas please let me know.

Anyone, I am a broker, my clients are interested in purchasing a mh. Now this is no ordinary mh, it was I believe originally a 12X64 single. The owner built onto this dweling and now it is a regular home. My predicament is that my lender wants a hud tag/# and there isn't one. The mh was a town and country built n tupelo, miss. at or around 1970 something. With the new regs many lenders won't lend on anything that was built prior to 1976. Any advice/suggestions?
