We are trying to move our 1995 out of a community onto private land. We cannot find anyone who does financing for this. Any information would be greatly appreciated. And also we were inquiring about a reputable company in Michigan that would take it apart, move it and set it on a basement.

This is not much more than a dealer would do...I would suggest that you go to a dealer in your area and ask some advise..

Be ready for him to try to sell you something...but they will know which lenders are the best in your area..You will need a conventional loan..not FHA...with a construction loan...

This is the normal loan all dealers direct customer to...

There are many mortgage companies listed on this site that do this type of loan.......

You did not mention if you have a double or single..unfortunatly most lenders will only deal with a double....

While checking with dealers..you might ask them about moving and set up crews in your area..Most dealers know them all..

Thank you murray for your input it is a double wide. We are checking into construction loans and are very suprised at the low interest rates. Manufactured home have such a higher interest rate due to repos and such

Dear Colleen,
Although I don't have an answer to your question, I have a question of my own... I want to buy a manufactured home and land... how can I find out if the area where I want to buy the land will allow me to put a manufactured home there?

Check with the local zoning office in the county office complex...
