What do you know about mold in modular homes? I am considering purchasing a reposed Fleetwood, but it has signs of mold along the base boards through out. Is it a serious problem?

I, too, am concerned about mold/mildew in 10 yy skyline I am thinking about
purchasing
Realtor made comment" there should be gutters and downspouts"
There is a very STRONG odor of mildew in kitchen.... behind breaker box I could
hear CRICKETS which having lived in rural KS [in a house] I know is a good
indicator of water
National Enquirer had article about Ed McMahon whose dog died in hollywood
mansion due to MOLD/MILDEW
So it can happen in ANY home
But, mobile homes seem especially susceptible
I want this beautiful doublewide BAD but don't want my dogs to die
-debby
another problem is "lagoon" built 50 ft behind the mobile home
it's legal, but the owner has 4 acres and I think this is too close
Might be a separate issue, but odor was especially strong in kitchen at
point where pipe takes sewer to lagoon
Also looked at KIT all electric home about 20 yy
Not as nice, but might be a better choice
Does anyone know if a skyline can be adapted to all electric
[if KIT were to be replaced in future.... it's on foundation... with skyline]

Mold can be probelm in any types of structure. Manufactured Homes.are no more susceptible than any other structures. Mold has no relationship to the foundaiton system.
