My clothes dryer in my home just took a dump.. It was a maytag, gas, and it said that it was made to be in a moble home... So we saw that there was what looked like an electrical outlet back there for an electric dryer as well... So we pull the non working Gas dryer out and low and behold.. this "electrical outlet" is not the usuall dryer outlet.. it is all round and what-not.. Can anyone tell me what this plug is?? Can I just pull that plug out and replace it with a "standard" dryer outlet?
If I decide to purchace another Gas Dreyer down the road... do I need to purchase one that is special for a mobil home?
totaly confused with wet clothes in Arizona.
Clothes Dryer help!!
Re: Clothes Dryer help!!
Modern manufactured homes have a different...safer electric plug arrangement..
Yes you can change the outlet...but safer would be to change the cord from the dryer (called pig tail)...proper cords are avaiable at any appliance sales place for about $6.00
