HAVING A FOUNDATION POURED AND THE CONTRACT STATES THAT IT GOING TO BE 10" THICK WITH 3000 PSI AND THE WALLS WILL BE 9'. CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THE HEIGHT OF THE CELLAR WILL BE ONCE THE CONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETED. I KNOW THAT THE FLOOR THAT THEY ARE POURING WILL BE 4" THICH, BUT THEY STILL WON'T TELL ME THEFINSIHED HEIGHT. IN READING THE CONTRACT I ASSUME THAT I'D HAVE A 9' CEILING. IS THAT TRUE, IF NOT WHAT ARE THE STANDARDS IN THE BUILDING INDUSTRY. IF YOU DON'T HAVE AN ANSWER FOR ME, WOULD YOU PLEASE POINT ME THE IN THE DIRECTION IN WHICH TO FIND THE ANSWER. I'M FEUDING WITH THE BUILDER BECAUSE HE SAYS THE BUILDING INDUSTRY STATES THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW SCAN I FIND OUT WHAT THE STANDARDS ARE. TAHNKS FOR ANY OR ALL YOUR IMPUT. KG

To the best of my understanding there is no standard required by any national code but that 8 foot ceilings are what you see most often ... It seems that if your paying you should be calling the shots? Call your local (state, city, or county) building department to find out what, if any, the local standards and requirements are.
