Toter insurance

Post by jeffl1107 » Mon Feb 06, 2012 10:43 am

Have a question. I have been in the Modular office trailer industry for many years. I don't do mobile home setups because I just can't find any work. Don't know if I am looking in the wrong places or what. I setup or teardown modular job site, sales office and temporary classroom trailers. I use to haul but took my truck off the road about 3 years ago because it is so expensive. Is there possibly a different way of getting specialized insurance for a toter truck to make it more affordable to be on the road hauling. Most of the companies I would be working for would want $1 million in Auto Liability and $50,000 cargo. the cargo from my experience is nothing, but the auto liability is the killer. Any suggestions or advice. I am based in Southern NJ. 1994 Ford L9000 Single axle Toter rated at 50,000 GVW.
Thanks for any help.

Call the company that covers your auto insurance... if they don't offer totter coverage they should be able to tell you the best sources in your local area.

You can try these national companies web sites
