I am shopping for a new homeowners insurance policy for our 2002 palm harbor home on our acreage in Georgia and am wondering what discounts are available for MH upgrades. We have drywall throughout and upgraded to 6" walls for higher insulation to reduce fire risk, but I'm not seeing this anywhere on quote requests that I have submitted.
We also have fire extingishers, smoke alarms and a home alarm system which I THOUGHT would reduce our policy premiums as well.
Is it customary for insurance companies to not divulge the discounts unless prompted or if not mentioned, simply aren't available?
Is there a list of features/options that would qualify for discounts on manufactured homes? I've seen it all over the web for site-builts but can't find the same for MH's.
Thanks in advance
