Foundation Damaging Home

Post by Mishy » Thu Jul 14, 2005 5:22 pm

I have lived in my home for 2 years, it is a double wide. It is an older home but in decent shape, but it is quite obvious that because of the condition of the lot (swampy, wet and erroding badly) and the fact that the trailer is not on any type of cement slab my trailer is being severly damaged probably beyond repair at this point. The floors are bowing awful and I am afraid that any day the whole thing is gonna sink into the ground. My trailer cannot even be put into level nor has it ever been abled to be level. I am wondering if anyone knows if there is any responsibility on the part of the landlord to compensate me for the damage to my home or if I have recourse against the landlord. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I am totally lost!

Is this your home you have on a rented lot? Or are you renting the home?
