My aunt lived in Bradenton and has home owners insurance. She passed away in Aug. and her insurance policy is up in Jan. 2006. They will not renew the insurance. I am excecutive of her estate and will try to sell the home. I need somone to pick up the insurance on this home. What I need to know is will they insure if the home is vacant and als will a new owner be able to get insurance?
Thank you

Hello, I live in Port Saint Lucie in the Savanna Club. WE are paying $1800 with Citizens and only insured for $100,000...the house brand new cost 147,000. Something is wrong with this picture. Any suggestions or ideas about an alternative. Thank you TJ

Our insurance company will no longer insure manufactured homes. Does anyone out there know who will insure them in the Port Orange, FL area?

I am an insurance agent in Florida and right now Citizens is the only one insuring mobile homes in the state. Please be very careful because they will not insure your home at what it will cost to replace it. They will insure it at actual cash value. It is the differance between retail price and garage sale. If you have any questions, please give me a call. Most agents are not writing Citizens but we are and we are still looking for another market on a daily basis. Good luck.
