How much Insurance

Post by Sandy » Thu Jul 01, 2004 3:18 pm

My husband and I have just bought a used 2000 28x60 Horton doublewide. We bought it as a repo. and paid cash for the home, so there is no lein against it. We then moved it to our land and set it up. Since we got an awesome deal on this home being that it was a repo. we have no idea what the value is and how much insurance to get on it. We want enough to replace it should something happen to it. How much coverage should we get? Please help we are suppose to be meeting with our insurance agent Monday.

First - Order a book value report, by clicking here. All reports are filed by a Board Certified Manufactured Housing Valuator, based on the information that you submit about your home

Second - Many people naturally, but mistakenly turn to an insurance office where they have purchased auto or business coverage. Manufactured home insurance is different than any other type of insurance. It is important that your insurance company specializes in manufactured home insurance. If you have a claim, you want people who understand how a home is manufactured and the best way to repair or replace it. It's always easier dealing with people who know their business.
