We are in the process of a buying a MH permently installed on real property. I am surprised at the Homeowners quote I got . Seems like it is way more than getting insurace on a stick house. It is a two year old, double wide around 1550 sq. ft. double wide for around $550.00 year. Does this sound right? Can anyone let me know if there is a more reasonable rate out there?
Thanks

$550 p.y. is real good! I live close to the coast in MS and the cheapest I have found is $1100.00 a year w/ $250 deductible. I just bought a "04 single wide and am still searching for better rates....

I don't know that you'll get a better rate. Foremost is the cheapest that I've seen. I'm trying to close on a 2001 DW in Alvin (Brazoria County) valued at 75,000 and insurance on that with 12,000 personal property coverage and 50,000 medical liability is still $1480 a year. My wife and I about fell over but what are you going to do..
