roof repairs

Post by Cheryl » Mon Mar 22, 2004 1:32 pm

I filed a claim last summer for roof repairs due to wind damage. My insurance company paid and I had the missing shingles replaced. Last month (February) we had another horrible windstorm, followed by a week of rain. Last night I found a water circle in the bathroom on the ceiling. It is new - it wasn't there last summer. Would this be NEW wind damage, and thus coverable by a new claim?
Thanks

Charles

Cheryl,
It would have to be a new claim. Did the insurance company pay for a new slope or slopes? If they did and you only spot repaired they may end up denying the claim. Not sure of your insurance company. But it is a new claim and should be filed.
Good Luck
