MH Insurance

I have a 1980 mobile home and have Foremost M H Insurance. A couple of years
ago we had an earthquake. The local insurance person looked at our damage and
priced the repair work at about $100. below our deductable. I asked if this was the
norm and was told "pretty much". I then asked under what conditions the inurance
company would actually pay and was told "the house has to be almost demolished". This was said with a laugh but the way the insurance papers readd,
I think that would be probably true. Is there really any point to paying for insurance?
