We are having a little bit of a problem with our insurance paying for repair to our roof. A couple weeks ago, we had a bad wind and hail storm that completely took 2 sections of the shingles off. the only thing there now is the roofing paper. The insurance company per the adjuster just wants to fix what is damaged, however every estimate I have gotten has said they don't feel just repairing it will do. One guy said he could fix it, but he never gave me an estimate paper or anything. The insurance company wants to give me $1000 to fix it minus the $500 deductible, and the lowest estimate I have so far is $4300. Please help me in doing the right thing yet not getting screwed in the process.

I would attempt to speak directly to the company adjusters. If there is no remedy and you feel you are not getting results, dont settle and seek legal help.

I have a simular problem with the insurance that I have. I have replace with new and they are trying to say that they will not replace with new and the roof is leaking and the ceiling is about to fall down and now they are not wanting to pay the cost. They have an adjuster that thinks three buckets of tar will be just fine. I might have to get a lawyer and going to court.
