Badly crunched half of a manufactured home!

Post by Charlotte » Fri Nov 02, 2001 7:59 pm

Several months ago comming around one of the express ways in Denver I encountered a very badly crunched (destroyed) half of a manufactured home.

My question is who is responsible for the damage to half of a home?????

I asked the question at the time on the other forum's and got no answer maybe I'll have more luck on the Insurance forum! :) Just wondering!

Depends on who was covering the home at the time of the move. If the insured had bought trip coverage from their insurance company then they would cover it, if the movers were covering it then they would be responsible for the loss. Once again you would rather have the insurance company cover your home on the move and not the movers, if you have the movers cover it you might want to look closely to the wording of the contract because it usually states that they take no responsibility for anything that happens while it's moving!
