Ok, I am new to this, but I thought that the dealer was supposed to insure all transport himself. I know I would not have it any other way. As for insurance while it is being built? Why would you need it? The plant is insured itself. If anything happens to the home while it is being built it's upto the manufacturer to fix it. Or so I thought.

Sounds strange to me too. We had to have proof of insurance to close the escrow but that was in order for us to legally take possession. Insurance was not discussed while the house was being built or for the transport.
